METHOD

3-2-1-Evaluation

Students reflect on what they have learned by writing down 3 things they know more about, 2 things they want to tell others, and 1 thing they will apply.

This method encourages students to reflect on their learning process and what they have gained.

1

Distribute the 3-2-1-Evaluation worksheet to the students.

2

Students complete the worksheet individually and quietly.

3

Students share what they have written with a partner.

Didactic tips:

  • You can give students a time frame of, for example, 15 minutes to work on the evaluation.
  • Optionally, use the Partner Match method to form pairs.
  • The method can also be carried out standing, with or without a worksheet. Students find a partner and share 3 things they know more about (the first point), then on signal, move on to another partner to share the next point, and so on.
  • Instead of sharing with a partner, selected students can share some of their answers with the whole class.
  • This method is used, among others, in activity XXX
