Pupils evaluate ideas, solutions, or issues based on the pros and cons of each.
The method helps pupils explore and select the best ideas, solutions, or issues.
Pupils choose an idea, solution, or issue they wish to evaluate.
They each write down at least 3 things that speak for and 3 things that speak against the idea, solution, or issue on the Pros and Cons worksheet
When everyone in the group has written pros and cons for the idea, the students can repeat the process with a new idea, solution, or issue.
The pupils share their pros and cons and decide which idea(s), solution(s), or issue(s) they want to discard and which they want to continue working on.
If pupils need to justify their choice of idea, they can subsequently assess its value using the Value Compass method.
This method works well in combination with the worksheet For and Against.
The method is used in activity XXX
