Gamify Your Breakfast! – Designing a Healthy Breakfast Game

The students design and play a digital or tabletop game that teaches players how to make a balanced and sustainable breakfast.

The intention is to encourage learners to apply knowledge about nutrition, sustainability, and creativity through gamification.

Engage – Start with a short quiz or discussion: “What do you eat for breakfast?” Introduce the concept of a healthy and eco-friendly breakfast.

Explore – Show examples of games that teach something (gamification). Discuss what makes games fun and educational.

Create – In groups, students Brainstorming and design a “Breakfast Game” where players collect ingredients, avoid food waste, and balance nutrition.

Prototype – Build a simple version using cards, dice, or a digital tool.

Playtest – Groups swap and play each other’s games. Provide feedback on fun, clarity, and learning.

Act – Reflect on how their games promote Healthy eating pyramid. Optionally, display or share games digitally.
