Students present their bee campaigns and engage in reflection to deepen their understanding and personal connection.
The intention is to encourage critical thinking about their learning, creative process, and real-world impact to empower ongoing environmental action.
In part 2 of Bee the Change, the students get time to prepare and run their campagne.
This activity builds on Bee the Change Part 1, which should be completed beforehand.
In this class, students get te time to prepare and/or carry out their campagne. Support them in their creativity and help them to find a way to carry out their plan.
Help students by pointing out that they can choose a target audience, picturing a clear goal, test and improve ideas, celebrate progress and be open for feedback. The Bee the Change – Part 2 is very helpful here.
Didactic tips
- Let students make the decisions. Ask guiding questions instead of giving solutions.
- Keep check-ins short. Have teams briefly share their progress and next step.
- Encourage testing. Remind students to try their ideas with a few people and improve them based on feedback.
- Give everyone a role. Ensure each student contributes with a task that matches their strengths.
- Celebrate small wins. Acknowledge creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving throughout the process, not just the final campaign.
- Use peer feedback. Invite teams to give each other one compliment and one suggestion for improvement.
- Connect to real life. Ask students how their campaign could make a difference beyond the classroom.
