The students write letters to their own contact of choice with findings of their research into clothes.
The intention is to engage discussion in the local area to convince others to limit their fast fashion buying and donating their clothes better.
Introduce the assignment: students will gather all new knowledge and perspectives gathered by researching clothing consumption behavior, and will write a letter to someone in the local community to inform and stimulate them to change their behavior.
Give students time to choose someone to write to. This can be a friend or family member, but can also a mayor, someone in local politics, or a national celebrity, politician or person of influence.
Give students an outline of the letter according to the writing conventions of the respective school/country.
Take time with the students to put the letters in envelopes and send them around the local community and country.
