Students present their ideas, prototypes or similar to students from other groups who come to visit. The roles are switched halfway through, so that those who presented first also get the opportunity to visit the other groups.
The method gives students the opportunity to present their work based on something visual and be inspired by what the other groups have developed.
The students prepare their table or wall with boards, prototypes or other materials to be able to receive visits from the other groups.
The groups choose one or two students who will present in the first round and who will present in the second round.
Start the café presentation. The students chosen to present in the first round present to students from the other groups who come to visit their table/wall. The visitors move around so they have time to see and hear several presentations.
Ring a bell or otherwise indicate when it is time for round 2. Those who are designated to present in the second round go to their table/wall and begin presenting. The students who presented before can now move around and listen to presentations from the other groups.
When the time is up, students return to their groups. They share what they have been inspired by in the other groups and reflect on whether it gives them new ideas for their own idea/prototype.
