METHOD

Quiz-Quiz-Trade

Students move around and quiz each other in pairs using question cards, which they swap before finding a new partner.

The method supports students being active while refreshing specific knowledge.

BEFORE:

Create a set of cards (paper slips) with questions and answers that students can use for quizzing. One question and one answer per card.

1

Give each student a card.

2

Ask the students to stand up and raise their cards in the air to show that they are ready to meet a partner.

3

Students pair up.

  • Partners greet each other.

  • Student A asks their question to Student B.

  • Student B answers and receives help and support from Student A if needed.

  • They switch roles, so Student B asks and Student A answers.

  • They swap cards.

  • They thank each other and say goodbye to their partner.

4

Students raise their cards in the air and find a new partner.

5

They continue until time is up or until they have met a set number of partners.

Didactic tips:

  • It is helpful if students can answer the question they start with.
